Kano Expands Campaign Against Open Defecation, Adds Six More LGAs

  The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), South-West Zone , has told its members to stay away from the Lekki-Epe corridor starting Monday, June 16, 2025 , to avoid possible problems. The directive came from the zone’s chairman, Chief Oyewole Akanni , in a statement shared with the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday in Ibadan. Chief Akanni said the national office of IPMAN had already told members not to send fuel trucks to load or pass through the Lekki-Epe route from Monday. The police spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin , shared this in a statement on Sunday. He said the commissioner set up a special team to look into the case after serious complaints were made against a Tactical Commander in the Okokomaiko area .
